Pay attention people this affects us all!

Ok there has be more people out there that are as mad as I am over the fact that things are not being taken care of when it comes to our government. Take for example the numbers we have for people that don't have health care. The Census Bureau's put numbers out not to long ago that are just shocking. In 2005 the number of uninsured is 46.6 million people. That is up 1.3 million from 2004, if we keep going at this pace the only people that are going to have health insure is going to be our congress. Besides the fact that a rising number of middle class people are having to file for bankruptcy because of the fact that the health insurance doesn't cover enough. Am I the only one that is frustrated because we are a country that should be able to make sure our own people are taken care of. We make sure undocumented people are taken care of, we send money for other countries and medicine for other countries. Which is great, we should but should we continue to turn our own backs on the people in the country that work a full time job, pay their bills, but can't have surgery because they don't have health insurance or help?? How can we expect anybody to pay for a hospital bill when they make 5.25 and hour and have rent and bills. Don't think their aren't people out there that are making this amount because there is. These people are suppose to raise a family and pay their bills and what, just hope they don't get sick. Okay so lets look at this one other way, what about our military families, shouldn't we make sure that they get everything they get should at least be the best they can have. If a women comes into this country and goes into labor we will pay for the bills so that the baby is taken care. We will also make sure that this baby has diapers and food, which I will add one more time I think it is great because it shows how caring of a nation we are. However if that women is a wife of a service member and they need help with a hospital bill, diapers and food you can forget it. They are just going to have to come up with the money. These are the people that fight for our rights no matter if they agree or disagree. If anything should happen it should be that we make sure they get the best. Of course you can always go see how much they make, which I personally think should include health care!Alright so now that I have over stated how I feel about the health care situation, can some one please tell me why the people in D.C. can't seem to do anything about this. I think if we took their health care away they would find some motivation to get the ball rolling. There is no reason why this country can't find a solution for this problem. We pay these people good money to take care of business and at this point not much is being taken care of execpt a bunch "ear marks"! (PORK) We need to put a stop to this and fix these things. The scary thing is there is so much more that needs to be addressed. I am thinking that if we did our jobs at only a 16% approval rating we would get fired, so the question then becomes are we "the voters" going to do something about this. It is high time that we remind our goverment who hires them and decides if they stay in their job. Note that I said stay in their job, not they stay in power, it is time to realize who is in power.... the VOTERS not them! Stand up and do something about these things and we can become the country we know we are and the reason we are always proud to be Americans!
